CRASH won oscars 2 years ago. what did PAUL HIGGIS show in that? wasn't it the dark side of america? now he wasn't an indian or australian,was he? we enjoy akira krausova, who portrays much worse conditions in his films.. critics accuse even satyajit ray for showcasing much worse conditions.still,we do celebrate him,and his films,don't we? come on now he was an INDIAN. we still have police who beat up unreasonably,unethical reality show judges and worse slums...we don't live in a world of perpetual sunshine. it's all how we perceive things.more than the film,we celebrate the music director who is an INDIAN.the hype just got itself stuck to the movie too.personally the movie didn't touch me,i agree. but such strong condemnations can be avoided.
